We have seen life is changing dramatically. People are losing jobs, businesses are closing, schools and colleges are closed, etc. We need to embrace the change and move forward with precautions. People should find alternative solution for earning money, good thing that technology has come handy since pandemic, helping student learn online and pursue their education, similarly one should change with the surroundings to live a better life.
During this difficult times it's important to look after your physical and mental health. This will also help you in long term.
Eat Healthy Eating healthy and nutritious foods helps you boost your immune system and fight against the virus and bacterias.
Drink Responsibly Limit your alcohol consumption and avoid sugary drinks.
Don't Smoke Smoking can increase the risk of severe disease, if you are affected with COVID-19.
Exercise WHO recommends 30 minutes of physical activity a day for adults and 1 hour a day for children. If your local or national guidelines allow, go outside for a walk, a run or a ride and keep safe distance from others. If you can't leave the house, find an exercise video online, dance to music, do some yoga or walk up and down the stairs. If you are working from home make sure you don't sit in same postion for long periods. Get up and take 3 minutes break every 30 minutes.
Keep a healthy mind It's normal to feel stressed, confused and scared during a crises. Talking to people you know and trust can help, supporting other people in your community can help you as much as it does them, check on neighbours, family and friends. Compassion is a medicine. Listen to music, read a book or play a game but try not to read or watch news too often if it makes you anxious, get your information from reliable sources once or twice a day.
COVID-19 is taking so much from us but it's also giving us something special, the opportunity to come together as one humanity to work together, to learn together, to grow together.
